is a town located in Aki District, Kōchi Prefecture, Japan. As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 3,208 and a density of 489.02 persons per km². The total area is 6.56 km². It is a well provisioned place, being on the newly built Gomen-Nahari line and boasts a "3-F" convenience store, well-stocked supermarkets, a bank, station and several interesting sights. The local 23-park onsen is famous in the area; it was named after the park in which 23 samurai committed suicide. There is also a stop-over house from feudal times that the lord of Kōchi would use on his regular pilgrimages to the capital. Much of the house is still visible today.
